Why Black Roses
The Black Rose (Rosa 'Black Baccara') is a striking hybrid tea rose, known for its tall, upright stature, reaching 5 to 6 feet in height and 2 to 3 feet in width. Its blooms, which range from 3 to 5 inches in diameter, are dark red-burgundy with a velvety texture, giving them a luxurious appearance. Each flower is high-centered and very full, boasting over 41 petals. These blooms, carried mostly solitary on strong, thick stems, grace gardens from spring to fall. While they are not heavily scented, their subtle fragrance can be captivating when experienced up close. The Black Rose's distinctive beauty and robust presence make it a standout in any landscape, embodying elegance and strength.
Our company culture mirrors the Black Rose, aiming to evoke satisfaction through our distinguished service. The Black Rose symbolizes the end of an old relationship and the start of something new, which reflects our approach to landscaping. We strive to stand out with our character, conduct, and environmentally conscious methods. Many clients have previously worked with other landscapers and appreciate our easier, eco-friendly service. Although we may appear similar to other landscaping companies at first glance, a closer look reveals our commitment to excellence and attention to detail. This commitment stems from the realization during the COVID-19 pandemic that professional, quality service was highly valued. What began as a personal endeavor in April 2020 quickly transformed into Black Roses Landscaping, offering a white-collar experience in a blue-collar industry.
My first Black Rose grown in August 2016. Well before the thought of Black Roses Landscaping.

Environmentally Conscience
Moving Electric - Black Roses Landscaping is an environmentally conscience company. With the understanding that not all equipment can be electrically powered we are moving our equipment slowly to be in step with protecting our planet’s future.
Fully Organic - We do not use pesticides or any chemicals on your property for the safety of your children and pets! These products can also damage and compromise the safety of your drinking water for those who obtain their water from wells.
Currently, we serve the Charlottesville, Virginia area, with plans to expand within the next 5 to 10 years. Our goal is to spread our eco-friendly practices, encouraging other landscaping companies and homeowners to adopt fully electronic equipment, thereby reducing our collective carbon footprint.
After a hard days work you will still see us smiling!
